PlantUML to draw.io

The PlantUML class diagram below becomes a draw.io file. This is an excerpt of the generated cells:

1. Paste your PlantUML into the editor.
2. Switch the format to draw.io. The text is converted and a preview is drawn.
3. Use Export, Source file to save the .drawio file, then open it in draw.io.

PlantUML is first turned into a graph, laid out by Graphviz, and then written as draw.io shapes. That works for diagrams made of boxes and arrows: class, state, ER, component, use case, mind map and activity diagrams. Sequence and Gantt diagrams have no draw.io counterpart here and are refused with an explanation.

• ShapesPlain rectangles, rounded boxes, diamonds and ellipses. Special icons are not recreated.
• Loss reportEverything that could not be carried over is listed with its line number.

Rendering and converting both run inside your browser. The page is not allowed to open connections to other servers, so your diagram text is not uploaded. Your work is kept in your browser's local storage only. Details are in the privacy policy.
